Parents and children want to know who'll be teaching them. A short video is a chance to get acquainted before the very first lesson — to tell a bit about yourself, show your approach, and let families feel that studying with you will be comfortable and engaging.

In this article, we'll cover what to say in your video, how to record it well, and how to add it to the platform.

🎬 What to say in your video

To make your video clear and convincing, split it into three parts.

Part Duration What to say
Introduction 15–20 seconds What's your first name (no last name)? What subject do you teach? How many years of experience do you have?
About your approach 30–50 seconds What's your educational background and experience? How are your lessons structured? What's special about your approach? What kind of students do you work best with?
Closing 15–25 seconds

Invite viewers to the first lesson, thank them for watching, and add a warm, motivating note.

💡 The total length should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. Don't try to cover everything — speak about what matters most, sincerely and simply.

📱 How to record a good video

  • Shoot horizontally — hold your phone sideways
  • Keep the camera at eye level
  • Film during the day or place a lamp behind the camera — your face should be well lit
  • Use a plain wall or a tidy shelf as the background
  • Record in a quiet spot, free from background noise
  • Rest your phone on a table or use a tripod to avoid shaky footage
  • Smile and speak naturally, as if you're chatting with a student's parent
⚠️ Your video shouldn't include:
•  your last name or contact details
•  other people in the frame
•  presentations or slides
•  logos or third-party links

Record a short test clip first — check the sound, lighting, and background before filming the full video. And always watch it back before moving on.
